Giraffe Centre

Located near the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Nursery, the Giraffe Center is a must-visit attraction near Nairobi National Park. It is devoted to the rehabilitation and reintroduction of the Rothschild Giraffe to the wildlife parks of Kenya. On the visit, the staff explain their work during a 15- to 20-minute overview. You will also have a chance to get up close and personal with these gentle giants.

You get own bowl of giraffe food and feed these curious creatures. You will stand on a raised platform, which puts you close to head height of the giraffes, who will stoop down slightly and extend their giant blackish, grey tongues to scoop up what you have on offer. A number of warthogs also roam the property and will eat the giraffe food should wish share with them.
