Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala To Queen Elizabeth Park(480 Kms/8-Hr Drive)

Depart Kampala at 0700 am and head for Western Uganda through Masaka and Mbarara towns to the park with a stop at the equator to take pictures and learn more about this imaginary line supported by a simple water experiment.

Enjoy the country air, scenery of endless banana gardens, tea estates and much more. Have a lunch stop in Mbarara and have more stops to see some beautiful crater lakes views and the great lift valley escarpment as you descend to the peak. Arrive at the park early evening: Queen Elizabeth Park is well known for its diverse eco system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters. This offers a lot of opportunities to see a verity of animals in addition to the fascinating scenery.

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth Park

This morning at 06.00 am after a quick cup of coffee go for a game drive to view buffalo, elephants, lions, kob, topi and other species of antelopes. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and later lunch at 1300hrs. In the afternoon at 1500hrs, take a 2-hour boat ride on the Kazinga channel which connects Lake George and Edward. This will allow you to experience wildlife up close where hippos huff and spray mere feet away, buffalo linger in the shallows and a tremendous variety of birds grace the grasses on the river’s edge. Amongst those you will see are the malachite and pied kingfishers, great white and pink-backed pelicans and the open-billed stork. With some luck you will even spot elephants on the river banks coming for a drink and a bath. At 17 hours, return to the lodge. Relax by the pool and enjoy the scenery.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park To Kampala

This morning checks out of the lodge after breakfast at 0800 and drive out of Queen Elizabeth Park back to Kampala. You may spot some animals on the way like elephants, buffaloes, and more. You will carry a packed lunch from the lodge to have on the way. Arrive in Kampala early evening.
